TURKEY LEFTOVERS!

I never really thought of it,
but is leftovers supposed to be one or two words?

One of my kids favorite meals is turkey pot pie! This really excites me because everyone eats it & no one whines or picks it apart. It is also very quick to put together.
All you do is make a pie crust or get a ready made one at the store. Put that in a pie plate. Fill your pie with turkey (or meat of choice or go veggie style), & my kids personally eat peas & corn, so that is what goes in. Make up a gravy packet & pour this over the top of veggies & meat. Cover the top with crust & poke holes in it. Stick it in the over @ 350 for about an hour or until the top of the pie crust is cooked!

Here is my favorite crust:
pie crust recipe
1 C. butter flavored shortening
2 C. flour (sifted works best)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. cold water (put about half in, mix, add more if needed)
you don't want it to be too moist,
but it needs to come together & form a ball.
Mix shortening, flour & salt until crumbly.
Then, add water slowly.

Oops! Does rice come with a "C"? sorry I haven't figured out how to edit.

Now that just solidifies my childrens' comment yesterday, "Sister Puzey makes everything from scratch!" You are THE woman making your own pie crusts - and thanks for the yummy recipe, can't wait to try it.
